Why should you participate in this Make-A-Long?
Would you like to use the brioche technique with confidence, but have been hesitant until now? This Make-A-Long (MAL) event is perfect for you, as the patterns are specifically designed to aid learning and relaxation through soothing repetition. The two project options ensure you can create at your own pace and according to your taste, whether it is a 198 cm long scarf or an elegant cowl.
What materials can you work with?
You can choose from the following great Scheepjes yarns:
- Scheepjes Woolwise: 100% recycled superwash merino wool for perfect stitch definition and drape.
- Scheepjes Softfun: A cotton-acrylic blend that is soft to the touch and ideal for sensitive skin.
- Scheepjes Scrumptious: A sustainable option containing recycled polyester from plastic bottles.
The key is contrast: choose a light and a dark shade so the botanical motifs truly come to life in your hands. Jennifer Weissman advises using high-contrast colours for maximum impact, as this truly highlights the beautiful texture of brioche knitting. It is recommended to use 4mm needles for the patterns to ensure the final result is soft and supple.
